Body Contouring
SmartLipo is a further evolution of liposculpture and is a remarkable method for removing unwanted body fat through a low pain, highly efficient process. SmartLipo™ is a special laser that dissolves fat, which is then gently vacuumed out. SmartLipo™ alone, or in conjunction with PAL™, is great for those trouble areas that will not go away with diet and exercise.
Tumescent Liposculpture is performed by instilling dilute solutions of lidocaine and epinephrine into the fatty areas to be treated. The fluid anesthetizes the tissue and significantly decreases bleeding. The procedure can thus be performed while the patient is awake with minimal discomfort and a quicker recovery. Most people can return to work and normal activities within two to three days. The results can be dramatic.
By utilizing the tumescent technique, liposculpture can be performed in an office-based setting while the patient is awake. It is no longer a requirement that patients be put to sleep using general anesthetics nor do they need to be admitted to a hospital for the procedure. Moreover, these new techniques, especially, SmartLipo, allow patients to return to normal activities more rapidly than when the older methods were used. It is safer and provides improved results for smoother and tighter skin.
PAL (Power Assisted Lipoplasty) Dr. Stratt utilizes both PAL™ and SmartLipo™ to achieve unparalleled results. Synergie is a powerful vacuum massage system that reduces the appearance of cellulite and circumferential body measurements. It facilitates drainage of the lymphatic system after liposculpture which reduces swelling. It can be used alone, but used in combination with SmartLipo the results can be truly remarkable.
Sonoden Duo Therapeutic Ultrasound is another excellent technology used at Body Care to improve the results of tumescent liposculpture and SmartLipo™. It is an external ultrasound (unlike diagnostic ultrasound) which can be used alone or in conjunction with the Synergie system.
Autologous Fat Transfers also called autologous fat transplantation or micro-lipoinjection, plumps up facial features with a patient’s own fat and is a popular alternative to other wrinkle treatments. Fat transfer to the face is a safe, natural, non-allergenic procedure designed to contour your face and can provide definition to your cheeks and chin. It can also be used to correct facial deformities. Fat can be grafted to virtually any area of the body to correct defects or enhance body areas such as the buttock. Since fat transfer uses your own fat cells, you can never have an allergic reaction, because it’s from your own body.
Lipodissolve is a minimally invasive procedure where medication is injected into the mesoderm (the middle layer of skin), the layer of fat and connective tissue under the skin. Using a very tiny needle, the medication is injected into the mesoderm painlessly. Patients have universally reported that the treatments cause less pain than a momentary, light pinch. The medications that are used in Lipodissolve melt the fat beneath the skin and shrink the fat cells. The medications are injected directly to the areas being treated. Treatments are administered weekly, and patients usually begin seeing results by the fourth treatment. After 10 Lipodissolve treatments, patients see a significant decrease in size, improved skin tone, and smoothing of cellulite.
