The cordless The Eclipse MicroPen TR™utilizes the Mechanized Epidermal Tattoo Removal (METR™) technique which delivers superior results compared to many of the existing tattoo removal options.*
Unwanted ink is erased using natural products and a specially trained process similar to reverse tattoo methods. The Eclipse MicroPen TR™ technology dissolves the ink, and lifts it from the skin. Unlike some other removal methods, this technique can help minimize lymphatic exposure. This has become more of a concern with the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) questioning the safety of some tattoo inks. After a few sessions — typically less than a laser — patients are free of the undesirable artwork.*
- Q: Does Eclipse MicroPen TR™ work on all tattoos?
A: Yes, utilizing the Mechanized Epidermal Tattoo Removal (METR) technique, the pen target all colors, ages, sizes and styles of tattoo. Only natural products are used for tattoo ink removal.* - Q: What is Mechanized Epidermal Tattoo Removal (METR)?
A: The Mechanized Epidermal Tattoo Removal (METR) technique is a highly effective system for removing tattoos and semi-permanent make-up. The procedure is performed by our highly trained professionals under the supervision of Dr Stratt.* - Q: How big can a tattoo be?
A: It’s recommend that the maximum treatment area should be no larger than 6” x 6”.* - Q: Can I remove more than one tattoo at a time?
A: Several small tattoos can be treated at the same time. Ask us for details.* - Q: What happens to the ink?
A: The METR technique causes the tattoo pigment to rise to the surface during the healing process in the form of scabs. Over a two-week period, the scabs fall off taking the ink with them.* - Q: How many sessions do I need?
A: An entire tattoo is not treated in a single session. It’s treated in segments. This allows the area of treatment to heal correctly and reduces the chances of scarring. The process is repeated until the entire tattoo has been removed. During your consultation, we will estimate the number of required treatments.* - Q: Is this more affordable than lasers?
A: The MicroPen TR™ tattoo removal process is typically less expensive and requires fewer sessions.* - Q: Can I do this if I have had prior unsuccessful laser treatments?
A: We will carefully evaluate the condition of your skin relative to your potential for success.* - Q: How often can I get treated?
A: The treated areas need time to recover before addressing an adjacent zone. It’s recommended that one should wait 6-8 weeks — depending on an individual body’s healing process.*
